    Portfolio Performance Software

Hello, we are currently looking for portfolio performance software.  Does anyone have any suggestions?  Thanks!

    Re: Portfolio Performance Software

My firm uses Axys/Advent and we are satisfied with the results.

Also, here is a paragraph from a recent article entitled "Tech Checklist for New Planners" from Advisor Max:

    4. Portfolio Management Software: When looking for portfolio management software, stick to those that offer a full accounting system. They should be able to track everything from performance to cost basis to information about various transactions. Popular options are Schwab's PortfolioCenter, Advent, and Albridge. Also, if you check the opinions of other advisors before buying, keep in mind they may be biased- portfolio software is often sponsored or subsidzed by a broker-dealer.

Advent's Axys software is sort of the Rolls Royce of network-based portfolio management solutions, followed closely by PortfolioCenter.  Both have their pros and cons.  Axys is more powerful and offers a bit more comprehensive reporting but the learning curve is much steeper.  PortfolioCenter is much easier to learn coming out of the gate.

There are also quite a few web-based solutions if you want to go that route.
