Best Way to achieve CE Credits

Hellow everyone.  I recently passed the CFP exam in July and I am now a member of the FPA and have achieved the CFP certification.

I like to plan ahead, so I am curious - what is the best way (time and cost effective) to accumulate CE credits?  I am going to a local chapter meeting in November worth 3, and I see that there are a lot of credits available on this website for $45 a pop.  Anyone else have any other ideas that has worked for them in the past?  I'd love to hear.  Thanks!

Congratulations Nicholas and thank you for your membership in FPA.  There are many benefits that go along with your membership, one of which is over 18 hours of free continuing education credit per year.   Through your membership you will receive a monthly edition of the Journal of Financial Planning, you will have the opportunity to take a quiz online after each issue at no cost and receive one hour of CE credit per quiz, 12 credits per year.  You can visit the following link for more information, or to access your first quiz: http://www.fpajournal.org/

In addition, we also offer an additional 7 hours of CE through archived VLC sessions that are currently available to members, as these sessions are archived you will be able to view them at your leisure.
