Hello,
I've been a member of the FPA since 2006, when I started my own financial writing and marketing business (after 20 years of corporate service in the financial industry). Since a lot of my writing assignments are geared toward CFPs, the education I receive from the VLC, the JFP and e-mail news alerts has been very valuable.
I am now enrolled in a CFP certificate program through Boston Univ., and I hope to sit for the CFP exam around mid-2009. I would really like to establish a mentor-type relationship with a CFP. I'd like to learn about other individuals' experiences in taking the financial planning courses, as well as the CFP exam itself. I also want to get advice about the experience requirement.
Can anyone point me in the right direction? Any information would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Michelle Fox
