The presentation was great for an experienced advisor, yet some of it a repeat of what I have heard within the industry.  My question that was not addressed (and may have been lost in transit), is Where should a new person with the financial background including the financial planning, but no clients or investment management experience begin in order to build this dream business?  What type of environment - independents branch with OSJ, corporation where he/she pays much of the expenses (office rent, E&O and a portion of marketing), support another  independent advisor and hope to find time to build own client base, etc?

The answer to this question is long.  It took me 352 pages to answer it in the newly released book.

It depends on your capital, background, personal cash flow, contacts, centers of influence...  I'd be willing to spend a few minutes on the phone with you sometime next week to get you in the right direction if you are interested.
