Welcome to FPA® Community Building!

The Financial Planning Association® (FPA) is the voice of the financial planning profession. Our members share a passion for professional excellence, knowledge and sharing of best practices in a community of like-minded professionals.

This unique area of our Web site is designed to facilitate meaningful dialogue amongst FPA members, nonmembers and the public. You can post questions or have discussions around specific topics. This is also the home for Communities of Interest conversations. Communities of Interest are FPA’s newest member benefit, designed to allow members to converse with other like-minded members. You must enroll in Communities of Interest to be able to participate in the discussions.

To get started, make sure you've logged into the site, and then click on Forums in the top navigation bar to review discussions, start a new discussion, or to participate in Communities of Interest.

As we launch this new exciting member benefit, it's important for us to understand your experience with this new technology. As with any new web feature, you may have questions as you navigate FPA Community Building. If you have any questions or experience any difficulties, please contact Christine Richardson at 800.322.4237x7188.

Don’t see a Community that fits your needs? Please e-mail us to forward suggestions, questions or feedback about your experience.

The attorney presence sounds...

Message by Bill Ramsay; reposted by permission: Thanks Barry for putting additional effort into the discussion. I am no expert on the functioning of the Board, now or in the past, but perhaps my limited involvement can add something different than those who have been in the thick of things. Dan Candura from the Board gave the ethics class for our FPA...
